Cindy Freeding - Pilates Movement for Life - Arvada, Colorado

Cindy Freeding

Cindy Freeding, the owner and certified instructor of Pilates Movement For Life, a native of Arvada, CO, moved to San Francisco at the age of 1. While growing up in San Francisco, she studied tap, jazz and ballet since the age of 5. She became a professional dancer with The Benny Smith Dancers touring the West Coat performing in plays, dance productions and television appearances such as the Jerry Lewis Telethon. She attended college earning a business degree with a dance minor. At the age of 27, her dance career ended with a knee injury.

Focusing on her legal career, she became a Corporate Paralegal, specializing in initial public offerings for the computer industry in the Silicon Valley. While attending her first year of law school, her life suddenly changed! An auto accident left her in pain for the next 10 years, postponed her wedding for a year, diminished her athletic abilities and of course altered her career path…..

After struggling with pain, depression and frustration in her attempts for relief, Cindy finally found her way to Pilates for rehabilitation. Within 3 months she was pain free and so impressed with her mental and continually improving physical well-being, she set a new goal of becoming a certified Pilates instructor and opening her own studio. She earned her certification through The Boulder Pilates Center and opened her studio in Olde Town Arvada in August 2004. ” I am very grateful for the privilege of studying with Deborah Kolway at The Pilates Center and Cara Reeser at Pilates Aligned. Their combined styles and experience, have greatly influenced the development of my teaching skills.”

Stephanie Zak - Pilates Instructor at Pilates Movement for Life

Stephanie Zak

Stephanie Zak is a native of Colorado and has been instructing Pilates since 2004. She received her certification from The Pilates Center in Boulder. Stephanie is also an accomplished dance instructor at Dance Arts Studio in Broomfield. She is currently in her second season as a company member of the David Taylor Dance Theater and received much of her dance training from the Academy of Colorado Ballet and the Denver School of the Arts. She is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a B.F.A. in dance.

Heather Abarro - Pilates Instructor at Pilates Movement for Life

Heather Abarro

Heather Abarro comes to Pilates after more that 30 years of classical ballet, jazz and modern dance experience. Many of those years were spent studying ballet and Laban based floor barre with Rieke Love at Ballet Denver. She found Pilates is a great way to keep moving while pregnant with her second son, and decided to get her certification after practicing the method and feeling a huge difference in her strength and movement quality. She received her certification in the Classical Pilates Method from Ph7 in Denver in 2009. She is always learning more about movement through teaching and practicing Pilates and other movement techniques. Her main goals in teaching are to share her joy of movement and help everyone she teaches access their own freedom of movement.

Amy Page - Pilates Instructor at Pilates Movement for Life

Amy Page

Amy Page was hooked on Pilates after her first class. At the age of 22, she decided to pursue her passion for Pilates, studying at Ph7 in Denver, and became a Certified Pilates Instructor in 2011. Amy began dancing at the age of 3 and has continued dancing throughout her whole life. Her dance background has served as a foundation for exploring career options. Her passion for dance, coupled with her love of movement and exercise, helped her discover Pilates and its many benefits. She wants to share her knowledge and skills with young adults, as well as other individuals, interested in maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. In February 2012, she suffered a bad fall on the ice and broke her lumbar transverse processes. Amy used her Pilates to help in her rehabilitation process, giving her a better understanding of injured clients. She looks forward to continue learning and growing in her Pilates practice.
